Groups

The CEN NMCN is supported by a steering group and four working groups. The structure and aims of the steering group and the working groups were discussed at our launch meeting on 17 June 2009 and the work plans of the groups are reviewed each year. These are working groups and we would like to invite parents, carers, health care professionals, and representatives of the voluntary sector to become involved.

• Service users group: Views of parents and carers of children and young people about the current services and possible improvements
• Data and audit group: Collecting data and performing audit on the services for children with exceptional healthcare needs as well as looking at research in this area
• Education and training group: What type of training is needed to improve services?
• Pathways of care group: How do we provide seamless services for exceptional needs children? What are the essential steps in the pathway for these children?
