Workshop Registration 'How do you want me to talk to you? - Supporting Practitioner Communication with Children With Exceptional Healthcare Needs'

This workshop is especially suitable for practitioners who do not work with children with complex needs on a regular basis as well as practitioners early in their career, who rated this workshop as ‘excellent’. Practitioners with experience of working with children with complex needs found the workshop a useful opportunity to reflect on their own practice.
The workshop lasts for three hours. A certificate of participation towards continuing professional development logs are provided.
The aims of the workshop are to:
- Increase awareness of participants own feelings in relation to working with children and young people who are non-verbal
- Reflect on those feelings and their implications for practice
- Increase confidence of participants to engage with children and young people with exceptional healthcare needs and their families
